How to Spot a Fake Foger Vape
Counterfeit vapes are the biggest risk in this category, because a fake can contain anything. Here is how to check a Foger before you use it, and what to do if something looks wrong.
How can I tell if my Foger is real?
Scratch the security panel on the box and enter the code at fogertech.com/security-code.html, where a genuine code returns a confirmation from Foger itself.
- Check the panel is unscratched when it arrives. If it is already scratched, someone checked it before you.
- Scratch it to reveal the code.
- Enter the code on Foger's checker. The answer comes from the manufacturer, not from the seller.
- Kits and pods carry separate codes, so check each one if you bought them separately.
What are the signs of a fake Foger vape?
The most common signs are a price far below other stores, a missing or already-scratched security panel, and packaging with blurry print or spelling mistakes.
- Flavor names that do not appear in Foger's own lineup.
- A display that behaves oddly or does not match the model it claims to be.
- Fonts, colors or logos that do not match a box you know is genuine.
Will a fake pod work on a Switch Pro?
Usually not: the Switch Pro dock checks each pod before it fires, so a counterfeit pod typically will not work on a genuine dock.
Does a verified code mean the seller is trustworthy?
No. A code proves the device is genuine, but it says nothing about who sold it to you. Phrases such as "official store" or "authorized retailer" cost nothing to write and cannot be checked from outside, so judge a seller by whether it verifies age, shows clear policies and answers questions.
What should I do if I think my Foger is fake?
Stop using it, then contact the seller with your order number and a photo of the code panel. If you bought it from us, email support@fogervapes.com. A failed code means something went wrong upstream, and we want to know.

One or two checks is normal, since boxes are sometimes checked in transit. Many checks over a long period is worth asking the seller about.
